9500 years of nice pet cats combined with a current breeding population that is comparatively gargantuan means we're safe.

All cats are pets so this doesn't make any sense. This is what happens when you get homeschooled I guess.

It's possible. Depends on whether programs to trap/fix/release feral cats offset the counter-selection you posit. Good question.
