My fire alarm is beeping. Every time I try to untwist it, it goes off in my ear. HELP ME SOMEONE

Earplugs/headphones/cotton balls for protection and get the battery out.

take it down unplug it and take battery out. Get new battery plug back in twist into place.

best case scenario it needs a new battery. worst case scenario there is a carbon monoxide leak in the place.
