it bothers me when people complain about polyamory norms in subcultures with "high" (like 30% instead of 4%) levels of polyamory like oh no your culture is slightly less dominant in this small bubble surrounded by a sea of more of your culture, us poly ppl couldn't understand

It's incredible how judgmental others are of relationship, family, and sexual models outside of cartoonish paradigms around the soul mate + 2 kids that live happily ever after until 100.

I think that's mostly their misdirected anger at the concept of its existence itself. Like it's a bad thing/immoral, so 30% will be very high for them.
