it took me like a full year to read it. i had to make a deliberate routine where every day id walk to the coffee shop and sit down and read 3 pages, very very slowly. Fwiw iirc the first few chapters are REALLY HARD and then it gets a lot easier

uhh you can? i think there would still be value in the book if u skipped but fwiw one of the most important shifts in my thinking happened due to pushing through the first few chapters, had a brain-bending moment where something about my own cognition snapped into place

i found it super valuable and it helped me understand the rest of the book, but tbf those chapters are in fact agonizing and if the options are 'cant force yourself to read all of GEB' vs 'read after the formal logic part' then the latter is better
