I realllly did not appreciate the degree to which people just lie about other people on the internet and it's just... taken as fact? For example: I often joke about throwing insane parties; I sometimes have joked about playing drug roulette, where ppl get a random drug 1/

Given that you are known to throw weird parties, and that you apparently did talk about the drug party, it really couldn't come as much of a surprise that people believe you threw the drug party. 1/2

iirc i always talked about it like "maybe we should throw a drug roulette party" and "lol how would we do it though, the logistics would be hard." ive never joked about it in a way that indicated i *had* done it before!

i am surprised that ppl are lying about it in the same way i'm surprised when people get very delusional and fixated on me - this is not an easy misunderstanding to have that reasonable ppl would make, its a massive disconnect from reality that is very rare to run into

I disagree. It's a very easy misunderstanding to have. - They know Aella throws weird parties. - They see "Drug Party" in a post Aella makes. Therefore, Aella threw drug party. It might not seem logical, but this is fundamental to how the human brain works.
