I often hear women talk about how they live in fear of men, on guard against sexual pursuit, being afraid to walk to their car alone, guarding drinks from drugs etc. - but I don't really feel afraid and haven't had much bad stuff happen to me? Idk why our experiences are diff 1/

Sounds like victim blaming when you try to look for elements in YOU that make you experience this safety... it is nothing abou you, just like suffering abuse isn't about the other girls... i live in rio de janeiro and never got robed, i know its not a *me* problem.

This is just a pet theory based on various things you've said before, but I think you're not easily traumatized/you process trauma very quickly or easily, which in turn makes you brave. You've had way scarier experiences of abuse in the past so as an adult you aren't as scared.
