Even if it's "competitive" for them, you dont think its even slightly exploitative for a company to outsource to dirt poor locations so they can pay as little as possible?
No, I don't. If they're offering local workers a payment option that those workers then take, presumably because it's the *best choice available to them*, then they're improving their condition and this is straightforwardly, clearly, good.
Yes, but it feels a bit immoral - our willingness to offload jobs that is known to adversely affect people doing them to the Global South/ poor folk who are desperate for the money.
Sure, so how is removing the jobs better? I know it feels bad (particularly the lack of mental health provision) but I think removing the jobs is worse.
I propose to @Aella_Girl to rip apart her passport, move to Kenya and then we from the US and Europe will be telling her about "the economy", "competitiveness", "reverse racism", and all those things
