That's not really true. There are aspects of your personality that the culture clearly takes issue with but I'd say there's a lot of modern virtues mixed in.

All I can tell you is I'm six years older than my wife. Our first date I didn't shut the fuck up because I was nervous. We held off having sex to make sure we had a deep personal connection first (not ever duh). We have been married 5 years now with a baby.
