People should not be concerned about the skin color of their children. Skin color isn't culture, words, foods, music, dances, religions etc. are culture. You're kid can be darker or lighter, it's fine.

I didn’t press it. Colorism isn’t one of those “privileges” that gets you anything, esp if you’re noticeably mixed. Also being light brings a type of middle ground identity crisis during the younger years
