huh i went to bed kinda hungry last night, on a whim decided to continue my mini fast throughout today, and then i just went and completed a bunch of annoying tasks i'd been avoiding for a long time
is food causing my executive dysfunction? should i just quit food?

interesting. I have executive function deficits as well and felt noticeably sharper during my previous fasts. I'll experiment with this when I'm done bulking

Short periods of fasting don’t seem to interfere with human functioning as much as we’ve been led to believe by our mums

So, I think the best advice is for you to re-examine from scratch what food is, and then see what the world has decided you should think it is. After that you can better choose for yourself what eating all about.

Maybe not food, but insulin. You shd try keto. For me it’s like being on Adderall all day.

Sharp mental clarity is a feature of fasting
Nature spikes adrenaline & cortisol every morning to get you moving, looking for food
Hold off eating to keep the clarity
Been doing 20:4 intermittent fasting 6 years, this is one of my fav benefits
Sharp all day, reward w/ dinner

I mean probably not but eating does trigger reward and many executive dysfunctions are based on issues with reward systems
So it could be that you're naturally compensating for low reward with food
I'm pretty sure I was trying to self medicate for ADHD with sex tbh
