yeah when I did my big research dive into sex trafficking stats (in the US) last year, there was seriously pitiful data available. the widely cited stuff is from ridiculous or super limited sources if you dig.

The dilemma that follows. If you trust so called stats, data, evidence etc you’re a fool, if you don’t trust the stats, data, evidence etc you’re a fool so all that’s left is to do your own research but most people don’t have the time/education so must rely on trust.

I feel like the term human trafficking should only refer to some “taken” type stuff. Consenting adults being moved to a more lucrative area is not “sex trafficking” it’s good business.
