idk, when I was a kid I wasn't interested in looking at sexual content (and the very limited times it crossed my path wasn't titillating), until I got old enough to be interested, and at that point I think I should have been allowed access to it, ideally with some education

seeing porn as a young teen was great for me, I have zero regrets about it, was significantly better than not watching porn. It was only interesting to me because I was old enough to be interested, and all the grownups attempts to "protect my innocence" were misguided.

Porn is an addictive superstimulus, like drugs or junk food. Forcing people to wait until they are older and wiser and able to act on the advice of their parents is a good idea IMO, but enforcing this is quite tricky

Good point! I definitely don't think hardcore restrictions like that are a good idea either. Developing a healthy relationship with addictive material takes time, and it's better that time is while your parents can help you than all alone

My sugar consumption was heavily restricted and when I moved out, I did not have any rebound reaction and continue to be a pretty low sugar consumer to this day. What’s your point?
