idk, when I was a kid I wasn't interested in looking at sexual content (and the very limited times it crossed my path wasn't titillating), until I got old enough to be interested, and at that point I think I should have been allowed access to it, ideally with some education

seeing porn as a young teen was great for me, I have zero regrets about it, was significantly better than not watching porn. It was only interesting to me because I was old enough to be interested, and all the grownups attempts to "protect my innocence" were misguided.

Being interested in it at a certain age does not mean you were ready and able to consider the crazy and weird intentions behind porn. At 12, you don’t know why a man wants you to choke on his dick, and it’s better left to contemplate at a much later age.

Ok so I was hilariously innocent as a kid. Bullies would ask me what a pussy was and laugh when I said a cat, and I thought they were just stupid or something. Then one day I saw a comedy skit about girls gone wild and was confused what the censor bars were covering.

Don't you think you benefited from it being taboo though, regardless the question of access?

I was thinking recently I went to a Green Day concert when I was 14 (mid 2000s,) where the singer masturbated on stage. It didn't bother me because I was already reading/writing gay fanfiction about him and the bassist at the time. Can't imagine they'd get away with it now though

I didn't really comprehend sex as a kid. I remember when I was 10ish a girl said she'd heard from her older brother what sex was and then she described anal sex. The idea of bottoming during any kind of intercourse never did really appeal to me (still doesn't.)
