I also asked ppl, "assuming your partner was totally chill with it, how much would you be interested in having romantic/sexual experiences with people besides your partner?" And then I asked them how much they thought their *partner* would be interested. Again, we see a gap! 2/

Absolutely fascinating. Maybe I'm just naive, but the rate of cheating is surprisingly to me. Even more surprisingly given the response to the "interest in sex outside relationship"

Isn't the gap likely because your sample is heavily selected toward people who are pro-poly, while your audience's partners are less-selected for that?

The fun part for me is that little spike in women's interest right around the 3-year mark (when the initial wave of Being in Love hormones wears off and the boyfriend/husband starts to act bored)
