probably there are some people who aren't "trans" in the sense they don't have the gender identity corresponding to the opposite sex, but still might want to transition because it would improve their life, and if this is true then I think they should go for it

Are there any examples of it improving people’s lives if they don’t have gender dysphoria

It would certainly make sense for most Afghan women to become men, since they would then no longer be second class citizens.

I don’t see how anyone could improve their life by faking reality, except for maybe utter extreme situations like when being tortured or stuck in a concentration camp where the preservation of the mind requires such deception.

What do you mean by "faking reality"? What reality would be faked? Do you think biology is an overwriting "reality" compared to the present material conditions such as appearance, how the world reads you, how you sound, how you move, and how you feel physically? If so, why?

Pumping themselves with hormone and cutting of bits will not bring them the benefits they think it will.

I personally lean towards gender anarchy. Anyone who wants to transition in any capacity for any reason should be able to and get my well wishes

They keep trying to collapse trans identity into a single thing and I think it is so much more complicated than that. There is a tendency for large vocal elements of any emergent culture to start policing that culture, which seems counterproductive to the culture itself

there may be some edge cases but i feel the concept of what gender indentity means is sufficiently vague (not a bad thing!) that most of the cases you might think of still count as having said gender identity
