it seems to register some keywords/artists much heavier than others by default, or at least when combined with certain topics, and i gotta do custom weights for each subject

I did midjourney without artists in the prompts until the last few days, which was a totally different experience. lots of experimenting with changing one word at a time (I often use around ~30 words in prompts, not sure what amount is ideal tho)

I think these are gorgeous, but I just read these tools use a photo/art database that was intended for research only. There are copyrighted images in that database. Some apps are selling image generation without compensating anyone. I’ve been pondering this a lot.

idk, ppl sell their own art that's inspired by other ppl's art all the time, that they couldn't have made without seeing that other art
This screenshot -specifically at 16:30) may help illuminate why it's different copying when you use AI.

i don't think whether or not something is copying/stealing is altered by the speed at which you can do it. those are two separate concepts.

this isn't "inspired by other ppls art" stinky, midjourney takes artists work from artstation and other art websites. the AI would not exist without theft of artists work.
