I have recently been toying with the idea of focusing entirely on surveys, and then just publishing raw data and letting other people do all the processing/interpretation (where I'd help share the results on my blog)
i feel real torn about it tho, unsure

me doing all of it, from conception to conclusion, feels more cohesive, but this year has shown I'm fast and good with the survey construction and slow and novicey at the data presentation part. Maybe I should just focus on what I'm good at and stop trying to do it all?

They won't do it for you. Nobody else will do your job. There are not competent adults running around looking for things to do. There is nobody who fills in the gaps. There is nobody who holds up the walls. You walk through a mostly empty universe.

I think it's a good idea, but i think it would be a better idea if people could preregister their hypothesis while the survey runs / before accessing the data.
I've been building something to allow that, hmu (same username on Gmail).

There are plenty of programmers out there who love making data visualizations but are less interested in gathering the data itself. Could be a good symbiosis.

Why not just set each survey up as it’s own GitHub repo? Then it’s easy for anyone to work on it, but you’re still free to do whatever if you want.
