My mom *loved* the trad life; she was a homeschooling housewife, dutifully caring for her children Unfortunately, her children did *not* love the trad life, and this resulted in a lot of upheaval I wonder how many neo-trad marriages today will produce children who hate it

Doesn't this fundamentally just come down to one group not understanding the difference between "wrong" and "different" due to absence blindness? Which people who deviated from the norm inherently learned, while others may never have had the chance since they fit the mold

yes, that is the core conception of tradition. I think the notion is that the wisdom, patterns etc.. may be disliked or even reviled but that cultural transfer remains critical and necessary regardless

It doesn’t matter because they will find there way home after realizing that “freedom” means something completely different than they thought as young adults. Parents provide the road map to stability and hopefully, contentment
