My mom *loved* the trad life; she was a homeschooling housewife, dutifully caring for her children Unfortunately, her children did *not* love the trad life, and this resulted in a lot of upheaval I wonder how many neo-trad marriages today will produce children who hate it

lots of people with personalities very well suited to trad life are like 'hey this is great, let's make a world like this' and fail to predict that their children might not share their personalities, might end up growing up being like 'holy shit absolutely fuck that'

I think that applies to a lot more than just trad life, pretty much every new generation is very different. I feel the more constrained the life you try to put your children in, the more likely it is they might not like it.
