In my survey, I ask people how poly they are, and also how long they've been in their current relationship (if poly, I ask about their primary/longest relationship).
You predict my data will find that _____ have longer relationships

do you expect i'm somehow accidentally selecting for both healthier poly relationships and unhealthy monogamous relationships?

You literally can't be in a stable poly relationship. You can't give this devotion to more than one person.

There's a trend where poly people stay in relationships longer because they can get the missing things from other people. Overall I think it averages out, as much as the mono folks will hate to hear it

Some power law stuff going on here. Most relationships are short by selection effects.

I think this would be hard to track given how fluid poly relationships can be, but I’d say no significant difference.
I’d be interested in knowing whether your poly survey respondents are open about their lifestyle or not, if you ever cover(ed) this

This data would probably be much more interesting looking at the distributions than the averages

Mono. For two reasons:
1. Poly is valid but generally more difficult to match up. Mono is mono, but poly comes in tons of flavours.
2. The really old relationships are back from a time when poly was still way more uncommon. Therefore, oldest ones will predominantly be mono.
