It's been two months since I took 5meo-DMT and I'm still as convinced as I was for the first week post-trip that my mind is permanently, and significantly altered.

I'm interested in trying it! If you've done LSD/shrooms/ayahuasca, which one is it more similar to? In what way is your mind changed?
neither LSD nor shrooms nor Aya act on 5ht1a afaik. its effects are not really comparable to either. its and underfitting drug not an overfitting drug

oh interesting, i consider LSD underfitting and shrooms overfitting, if by that the thing u mean is belief dissolving vs belief building

I think my last trip on shrooms brought me closest to a space that I was trying to avoid (something void-y) but slowly enough that I was able to keep it at bay. But 5meo dumped me fully into that space, basically instantaneously. Beyond that it's in a world of its own.

I went from thinking about death a few times a year, to thinking about it (or some existential variation) many times a day. I reconnected to a weird capacity to alter my vision more or less at will to be more 3D ( knows what I'm talking about, but hard to describe)

Also my whole relationship to death has changed - some part of me is still able to feel a familiar fear, but another, new part of me feels incredibly grateful that I get to stop existing.

5-Meo dmt is more of a catapult then all the above, even more so then DMT. The experience i had with 5-meo did not produce much visuals,but a pretty astonishing dissolving of the ego. Everything was just bright and white. If you do it,i would recommend a tripsitter, just in case.

Very difficult to compare to any of these. Mostly for the immediacy and the way in which the somatic and cognitive aspects are entirely merged and almost indistinguishable.
