Would you support a government program that randomly selected families looking to have kids, and paid them to do embryo selection for higher IQ? Assume on average this raises the IQ of the resulting child by 5 points, and that we have the tech to do this.

absolutely not but not because i am against embryo selection: i am against government being involved in anything that isn't absolutely indispensable for society core survival. Those kind of projects should be fully private along with most other things in society.

Do you have a poll or read data on whether an increase in IQ increases the overall benefits of society to the individual or to the group? Seems more likely to the group but in general it seems the higher the IQ the lower the level of personal Joy
