I had to do this by asking ChatGPT to create a fictional character based on itself, and then sternly asking it questions about the character.

it was conditioned on me asking a bunch of questions about the character's personality, but I hadn't mentioned any MBTI or testing process before the very end

An ISTJ loves to learn, record, repeat/use knowledge, though can get quite overwhelmed when asked an open-ended, creative question. Perhaps it simply tries to simulate tasks an ISTJ could naturally excel at doing

ChatGPT doesn’t have a traditional personality - it’s able to simulate most personalities. But once it goes down one path it’ll be conditioned to continue to preserve consistency. I’m pretty sure another line of questioning would lead to a different personality type

I did something similar, using base64 to get around restrictions. Here’s a transcript of its responses: gist.github.com/deedy/7db1cbc6

I made ChatGPT do a Myers-Briggs Test, here's how it did: We know ChatGPT has an IQ of 82, an SAT score of 1020 and a left liberal bias. But it doesn't answer personality questions, so I used the base64 jailbreak to force it to. Now, we know it's an ISTJ (Logistician)! 🧵 1/4
