Shadowbanning, payment processors refusing to do business with you, apple store censoring apps - all this is very old news in the sex worker world. If you wanna know how free a society is, a great test is to see how much they restrict the voluntary distribution of sexual content.

agree that that is subject to a lot of persecution, tho i do think sex work is unique in that lots of both right and left wing ppl hate it, and firearms is more conservative-favored

What’s really odd to me is seeing sex workers being pro censorship in ways that directly hobble our ability to market. Being pro censorship in general as a sex worker seems antithetical to our whole ethos but here we are.

could create a host server. Don’t drain Only Fans with bogus fees like Apple & Google does (which is why OF doesn’t have an app), create an affordable server with top priority to dismantle exploitation while defending how consented porn/sex work isn’t exploitation.

I have been thinking of these issues for six years now and while the Fediverse/Mastodon isn't quite what we need, we can adapt and extend it for our needs.
Payments will always be hard and for good reasons as well as bad.
