say what u will about elon running twitter, the intense corporation (e.g. apple) pushback he's getting despite the actual rules and moderation of twitter being barely changed feels like evidence of some petty political retaliation

if made a phone with an app store to compete, that could literally change the world. You don't know how many companies I've consulted for who've been kneecapped by Apple - "good idea but we need to get Apple's approval, and they won't tell us why if they deny us"

i especially feel this about nudity and sex - you can't even consider any apps that would vaguely come near that, not kink matching apps, not anything erotic, and I consider that insulting to the artistic expression of humanity

When the owner wasn’t playing the game, it was a lot easier to think that the referees were fair.
Elon is playing the game, so everyone will see bias towards his team. Or fear bias coming soon. Or fear that a perception of bias could taint those associating with Twitter.

Tbh, I don't think most people thought the referees were fair before, just unfair in a way that didn't harm business.

it's brand advertising & he's turning twitter into a maga/incel/debate me/can't pay-the-bills brand. all that is bad for business. the fact that they can just pull their ads means that it's not valuable to them. that's a much bigger business problem than corp pushback.

Truth Social is on the App Store, genius. They don't care about that.

They've changed significantly.
They are being applied to the Left.
That wasn't the case before.
