Eu means good, stress is stress. It is those stresses that are helpful to the growth of character. For example, strength training is eustress because it puts stress on muscles. It leaves the muscles with microscopic hematomas. But overall, it is good for health.

Whoever made up that word should go back to school. Using a Greek prefix with a Latin root is absolutely disgusting.
