when the astrology ppl got mad at me on twitter, i tried proposing various experiments to test, none of which they accepted BUT i propose that if i describe doing a test that appeared to support astrology, and they accept it as evidence, then that counts as approval of the test

next time imma be like "well I had 5 ppl vote on which of 5 birth charts matched me, and all of them voted for the correct one" and if the astrology person is like SEE, that's evidence! then i'll be like "i didn't actually do that, but u just accepted the proposed test as valid"

Replying to
a pro astrologer would put a single aspect like the above into relation with dozens of others plus add more nuance that comes from the rest of the chart (signs, houses etc.)

adding even *more* information and then manually interpreting it to fit sounds like confirmation bias on steroids to me its only valid if it's falsifiable; e.g., if i gave an astrologer the wrong birth date/time and then they were like 'none of this makes sense for you'
