More people die from exposure to cold than to heat…most people think the opposite.

Freezing to death results in going to sleep and never waking up. Dying in a fire is usually uncomfortable asphyxiation, but mostly a painless death. Being burned to death is a lot of screaming and pain, at least until the nerve ending are dead, but your brain may persist with it.

so i do hear that the fire would burn your nerves and after some major pain it would go away. i would still choose freezing cause i had hypothermia once, and it made me feel warm and not so painful. i would assume id just fall asleep and never wake up. better imo.

I imagine I would want whatever the opposite of what was currently happening to me. Burning would be quicker but freezing would probably be less painful.

Freezing is supposedly a scary death, not because of how painful it is but because of how unnoticeable and quickly you die. It's like falling asleep

I think freezing sounds less painful but the pain must last way longer where as burning you die pretty quickly.

This is the Hour of Lead –
Remembered, if outlived,
As Freezing persons, recollect the Snow –
First – Chill – then Stupor – then the letting go –
