I grew up in Idaho and thought jews were kinda mythical? like I believed they were real but I'd only met like one and I was confused why some of my online friends seemed to have opinions about Jews. felt like having opinions about an obscure African food.

As an Idahoan, I usually explain that Jews are sorta like Mormons. Many people on the East coast have likewise never met a Mormon, which would be unimaginable in Idaho.

Lmao my boyfriend thought exactly the same before he went to uni. As a Jew I felt about the same when I met him and discovered he grew up on a family-owned farm.
