You’re more likely to make than to find the guy youre looking for. A guy with all your qualifiers wont likely be willing to engage, but a guy missing one of your main qualifiers probably would be, it’s the problem with unicorn hunting. Easier to put a horn on a white horse.

id feel more likely to take advice like this from ppl if i felt like they had a better understanding of the kinds of ppl ive dated in the past and the kinds of people who express interest in me today. last guy i dated hit all my qualifiers, why would i date *worse* than that?

because he didn't actually hit all your qualifiers; he was incompatible in some way you didn't list. there might be some guys who meet your listed *and* unlisted conditions, but last guy you dated isn't much evidence of that.

I feel like when I had qualifiers like that I limited myself, tho, cause I found that being allowed into the world of someone really different enhanced me. But I'm also sure your qualifiers are curated based on who you've had good relationships with so it's rational for you.

because people are not static metrics and equations, and someone with "less" qualifiers can easily have a far higher potential. its basic humanity.
