GC discussing Aella's problem, I think I've come to the conclusion that she needs to seduce a rock star of some kind as they're the only guys who fit the desiderata of being publicly promiscuous, successful, high status, cool with drug use, open minded, etc.

However the problem with this is Aella's current approach of being publicly available and mildly famous as a sex worker is unlikely to pay off because these are exactly the kind of guys who are inundated with women and thus unlikely to be actively looking for one.

Brian May (to take one example of a genius mathematician rock star) is not gonna be browsing twitter looking for polls about edgy moral conundrums (even if he's into that stuff!) because he's a busy fellow

Elon Musk found Grimes by searching twitter for Roko's Basilisk jokes so the strategy of being Weird Online CAN pay off but it's pretty unlikely.
So I think what you gotta do if you're that picky is actually do broad research on your target population and find and pursue them

Unfortunately this is kind of contradictory to the traditional women's dating strategy, and puts you into direct competition with a lot of other women pursuing the same guy.
But I think Aella has a lot of advantages over groupies, like already having independent clout and money.

i seriously dated nate soares and that was good and i was happy; we ended up not getting married but did seriously consider it. The rationalist circles have a lot of super high openmindedness and poly culture that fit me well!
we met each other through him filling out my date-me survey. I also did attempt dating another AI safety researcher who filled out my date-me survey. I'm also considering asking out another AI safety researcher... honestly that might just be my demographic
