I believe Spotify gives a danceable score for each song, you can get it from the Spotify api

I think there's research on this already! Generally higher tempos (120-180 I think was the range?) plus consistent rhythms in 4/4 tends to do it; some also "grooviness" (I don't remember how they operationalized that.) Recommend selecting songs that differ in very specific ways.
