to clarify, I think this is good; I like being sufficiently post-scarcity that differences we evolved for survival reasons are no longer relevant! In the glorious transhumanist future where the rules of the game have changed, I hope we do every kind of expression.

It feels like this proposition makes sense if you take transgender to be a cultural phenom. but there is likely a biological correlate of being trans (significant concordance for gender identity among identical twins, not among fraternal ones). there isn't for 'transracialism'.

My guess is that transgenderism is partially a cultural phenomenon (which doesn't make it any less valid!), and also that there is some sort of "not a choice, an unexplained urge, best explained through alternate brain wiring" that exists for transracialism

I feel that my penis-having non-menstruating masculine-social-roled life is a lot lot closer to the vast majority of men of any race than to the average woman of my exact ethnicity
