my guess is most men's ideal setup would involve a loyal primary partner/wife/babymamma who they live with and have daily sex with, and then he also goes out and has more casual sex with new women every now and then for novelty and validation. The women are all chill with this.

I feel like my ideal would involve multiple fairly longer term/committed relationships & I’d mostly prefer my partners have other partners both for potential multi-partner funtime & because I’d ideally not be someone’s everything. Seems to add a layer of obligation over the ‘ship

If you’re someone’s everything in this regard, I feel like there are in some ways larger consequences if someone breaks off the relationship, & this makes it less optional & maybe feels less like each partner’s time & love is a freely chosen award for being valuable to the other

Something to consider: men fully emotionally mature at 43. While it might sound like an ideal setup, would it outside the bro culture? What about among emotionally mature people? Personally, it's nihilistic and not fulfilling at all.

I don’t think that whether something is most people’s ideal setup correlates at all to best or optimal. Most peoples ideal setup would likely not include study, work, exercise, curbing appetites, etc. You can’t build a functional / fulfilled society on perceived ideal setup.
