I think moral statements have no meaning and can be more appropriately described using boo/yay
idk if this is the right answer to an ethics q tho
Are you intentionally alluding to 'Boo-hurrah Theory' (i.e. emotivist meta-ethics) or did you basically intuit it independently? 😂 Funny you stumble on almost the same words!

i did intuit it independently, but used 'i like it' and 'i don't like it' originally; i did eventually hear the boo yay (or hurrah or whatever it was) tho

Ethical/moral statements are fundamentally about how we *ought* to act. They can be said to have no 'meaning' if "meaning" is restricted to only "is" statements (as opposed to "ought" statements). But we all decide how to act, so study of ethics is still important.

Well this is the metaethical position non-cognitivism, which is very good but also compatible with all the ethical positions in the original poll.
