Would guess sexual dimorphism is kinda expensive, and it's just easier to run all sexes on more or less the same software.

Only half the spawn are men so they need ladybrains to contribute to the manbrains. Also, ladybrains are not exclusively in the control and protection of the mens. They need to exist independently when the men do dumb stuff and get killed.
