If you're the kind of person who will wanna cheat on your partner, then you probably shouldn't be getting into monogamous relationships! Unfortunately this is like 15-25% of the population; lots of you have been monogamypilled when you're not suited to it.

And that's just the population which *acts on it*; who knows how many more people would really prefer more sexual partners but can't due to logistics or shame.

You definitely shouldn't be cheating, but also probably society has some blame here? Like imagine a happy 50's nuclear family where the man is secretly gay and cheating on his wife with other men. This sucks, this is bad, but also his culture didn't really give him a choice.

The more polyamory gets normalized and accepted in today's culture, the less excuse you have for cheating in monogamous relationships. If polyamory is actually an option for you and you pick exclusivity you're not suited for anyway, then idk u did it to yourself

I agree people should feel safe and free to be polyamorous. However, polyamorous relationships are equally susceptible to dishonesty, drama and abuse. Freedom doesn’t fix manipulative personalities who enjoy keeping secrets and doing things they know would hurt their partner(s).
