If you're the kind of person who will wanna cheat on your partner, then you probably shouldn't be getting into monogamous relationships! Unfortunately this is like 15-25% of the population; lots of you have been monogamypilled when you're not suited to it.

And that's just the population which *acts on it*; who knows how many more people would really prefer more sexual partners but can't due to logistics or shame.

You definitely shouldn't be cheating, but also probably society has some blame here? Like imagine a happy 50's nuclear family where the man is secretly gay and cheating on his wife with other men. This sucks, this is bad, but also his culture didn't really give him a choice.

The more polyamory gets normalized and accepted in today's culture, the less excuse you have for cheating in monogamous relationships. If polyamory is actually an option for you and you pick exclusivity you're not suited for anyway, then idk u did it to yourself

seems like you're assuming most cheating will end if polyamory is widely accepted would bet this isn't true. lots of people in poly groups lamenting being cheated on, lied to, treated like shit, etc

The barrier to polyamory seems to be more with not wanting your partner to have sex with other people. Even if people want to cheat they usually don't want their partners to.

If you want to eat a box of donuts you probably shouldn’t be fit. I think there was a period of time where what you were arguing seemed worth considering. We had divorce. We had pre marital sex. We had opened pandora’s box. But a free for all is bad for society.

I don't think you are "suited to it" in the same way you're suited to say, sports. Cheating reflects a lack of character. You make yourself "suited to it" like you learn, for example, not to steal. Monogamy is practiced (rightly so) for family and personal devellopment.
