In a world where prostitution is legal/regulated, should sex workers be allowed to discriminate against clients on the basis of race?

Seems like sex workers should be able to choose their sexual partners using any criteria that non-sex-workers might use to choose their sexual partners.

Now ask if qualified workers should be required to take offered sex work as condition of getting employment insurance payments

Good question. I guess the natural follow-up here is whether they would be allowed to discriminate on the basis of sex and/or gender

I think SWers who discriminate will bear the cost of that. When you’re talking about someone’s body, they have to be allowed autonomy over it. Bad business practices are one thing, forcing someone to be intimate w someone that they don’t want to is a completely different thing.

I think the legal challenge would say, "You don't have to do this job though." And I think that'd be right.
Frankly, the 'reasons' I've been given when I've asked someone about their discriminatory ad, it's always been to screen out 'thugs'—so they just say no black guys. 👎

Option 3. Whatever rule applies to cake bakers, should apply to prostitutes as well

Controversial opinion: I think anyone should be allowed to discriminate based on race.
