occasional reminder Dont Speak To Journalists no matter how smart you are you cannot beat them at their own game, because not only are they professionals while you are not, they choose what goes in the story and the storys form is predetermined by time of interview sooooo

fwiw i've spoken to a gajabillion journalists, at length, many of them for mainstream publications, but it was fine cause the interest of the story wasn't about a *person*, it was about a *topic*. whenever i get a journalist sniffing about a *person* its red alert
