i *love* dancing, but ppl don't usually like watching videos of dancing unless it's novel and like top 0.01% of skill. I don't feel the same gap with visual art; I feel like I get sort of proportionate appreciation for my drawings given how much I love doing it.

Think it just doesn’t translate as well into a recording. I’ve had a great time watching good-but-not-world-class people dancing, but so much of the appeal is the raw physicality. I can’t imagine enjoying even the very-best dancers in a video
