it feels like both categories are doing the *same kind of thing*, which is building models of the world to control the world and make predictions. Both of them fail when they try to use this to point at the understructure, imo

Materialism is 20th century religion. It is woo to believe in an single external shadow concrete world outside of us that no one has ever directly seen or touched
