An openly gay man is a public school teacher. It's very obvious he's gay, in mannerism, dress, and stuff like referencing his boyfriend. 90% of parents at the school feel this is inappropriate, and don't want their children exposed to alternative sexuality. you'd prefer:

Mannerism and dress are more than fine, as is knowing that he's gay. It depends on how much he's talking about his boyfriend, because I think it's appropriate for schools to not want teachers of any stripe talking about their personal lives (esp. dating lives) and partners.
