been having plumbing issues in my weird rental house, the plumbers just told me i cannot put any water down the drain, no flushing toilets, running water in the sink, etc.
fml, tryin to find another place to stay. are landlords responsible for covering hotel costs?

You should check your lease or rental agreement. It should say the landlord is responsible for you to have a habitable dwelling. If you have no use of the plumbing, landlord should pay for a hotel until it's fixed.

I doubt it’s an Airbnb, but if it is they will refund you the full amount plus some!

If you have renters insurance, your renters policy most likely has provisions for ALE or "Alternative living expenses"

Apartment insurance would. All my landlords would find ways to weasel out of it

But they are responsible for the plumbing. No functioning plumbing should mean no rent

Find a nearest lawyer, have a consultation. They’re usually either free or inexpensive. The quality of data you receive this way will dramatically exceed anything you can get here.

it varies state to state. Usually they’re responsible for not charging you rent for the amount of time the place isn’t habitable because it’s missing the essential element of water, but not necessarily for paying for your hotel-that’s what renter’s insurance usually covers.
