this seems fine to me? It's the teacher's body, let them do what they want with it. i kinda feel like you being weirded out is your business.

BREAKING: Oakville Trafalgar High School has come out in defense of a male teacher who has been wearing a massive prosthetic bust, complete with protruding nipples, to class. In an email sent to parents, the school says "gender identity" is protected. reduxx.info/ontario-high-s

yeah I guess fair, like schools don't allow kids to self express with clothing either. but I feel like the reaction to this goes farther than that, like it doesn't feel like ppl are mad just because it's public school

Yeah IMO conditional on there being public schools (I would really rather not that) public school teachers should be pretty bland at work. Agree the reaction is about a bunch of other stuff though.

That said I think teachers of young kids have a lot of responsibility to be extra non offensive and non scary, and to mostly not to do things the parents wouldn’t like (especially without good reason), so I don’t think teachers should curse in classrooms

There are going to be people mad for the wrong reasons, often/always with stuff that’s topic of culture wars but I think we can set that aside and look at this for what it is and razibs argument makes sense
