this seems fine to me? It's the teacher's body, let them do what they want with it. i kinda feel like you being weirded out is your business.

BREAKING: Oakville Trafalgar High School has come out in defense of a male teacher who has been wearing a massive prosthetic bust, complete with protruding nipples, to class. In an email sent to parents, the school says "gender identity" is protected. reduxx.info/ontario-high-s

The aesthetic experience in any public space is everyone's business. If the students are weirded out by their teacher, it's the teachers problem as well.

My issue is this isn't consenting adults who have the option to just get up and leave or disassociate with the person. Schools are effectively child prisons and they don't have that option. I applaud your desire to protect personal autonomy but the issue isn't him, its the kids.

Every right generally comes with a corresponding anti-right. It’s usually easier and more concise to talk about the “freedom” that a right conveys to an individual, rather than talking about the nuances and subtle costs it imposes on the society from which that right is drawn.

If you look at how “rights” are implemented in practice, every single one has lines of demarcation that emerge from aggregate social cost. Your right to speech is limited by noise ordinances and libel laws. Your right to assemble is modulated by the city permitting office. Etc.

Schools are a "public good," so we can demand whatever we want. If you are acting on behalf of the government, you do not have the same rights as a private citizen in your professional capacity. There are countless examples of this.

When libertarianism becomes another abstract ideology divorced from empiricism. This is an employee in the workplace. Wearing absurdly huge and fake tits. The mission of the workplace is undermined. The most lenient treatment is “go home and change or don’t come back.”
