back in my religious days if u independently rediscovered an idea already uncovered by some rabbi 400 years ago it was a big deal and great honor, the whole class would celebrate you. the bigger the rabbi the greater the honor

Hmm. I saw "cuck" and assumed that since the writer was into making off topic sexual slurs he couldn't have anything else worthwhile to say. That heuristic usually works well.

Tbh I think it comes from frustration. You have to make a distinction between original and good. Just because an idea is new doesn't mean its true or grounded in reality whatsoever. This is especially true in subjects that are complex, where you haven't put in the effort to learn

good tip: Grounded Theory is a methodological approach that favors exploration fist, followed by the literature. The premise is that by doing so you're avoiding being biased by previous knowledge.

if you actually spend time in a scientific research lab you'll understand why this is the case. original ideas are very rare and most of the time someone else has thought of it already. most progress comes from collaboration and combining the knowledge of groups

What's even worse is the pretention that all truth is known and it's contained in the "peer reviewed literature" on any given topic (especially social topics/questions/issues) and that truth just happens confirm your own biases.
