i'm against a lot of progressive feminism cause it infantilizes women and i'm not down with that. i want a feminism that demands equal levels of respect *by* infusing women with agency.

Shouldn’t it be that society fixes the macro scale problems (not hiring women if they are the most qualified), while we empower individuals to fix the micro problems (*be* the most qualified)

Without systemic, societal change, agency cannot be equitably distributed among people due to different people having different levels of power. There are some mechanisms and habits we have to establish society wide such that everyone can avail themselves of them.

EXACTLY. If there was a functioning masculinism it would be a skillsharing (and bragging) web site. What is feminism's equivalent? Or what is (or would be) the modern equivalent of the suffragette Women's Social and Political Union?

Shared respect comes from shared responsibility. Society has been structured for millennial to segregate responsibilities, it'll be hard to deeply change.

How can that vision be manifested in practical terms? For example, in promotions, if all the decision makers are men, how can a woman have agency without some kind of external force or arbiter to make sure she is included?

This is a good distinction but it doesn't eliminate problems that are specifically social. If society is making life harder for you than it has to be then you can (sometimes) deal with that individually but it would be good to change society too.
