It's hard to explain how a recorded account of events w/one of the world's leading experts of Basquiat, arguably the most popular artist on the planet, that has been seen by a quarter of a million people does not make news -- unless you're protecting the offending institution.

It’s worse cause teasing it out, What message *could* have been received positively, even friendly and polite? Fawning? Self-Flagellating? Begging for the honor of reaching out? idk. strange, revealing, but mostly sad

Same, in entirety. In terms of professional ethics, she’s not obliged to give a heads-up, so that was thoughtful of her. And of course if Helen’s going to talk about [whatever occurred], it’s smart to want to get a personal perspective directly. Which she requested politely.
