in sociolinguistics it's well known that upper and lower class ppl swear the most, whereas middle class folks do it the least

I grew up in a culture-obsessed intellectual home where words like "fart" and "shit" (in Finnish) were considered swear words and banned, but I've compensated plentifully since I moved on my own at 16.

Huh, it's not often that I end up in a minority
Raised by 'poor intellectuals', there was no swearing at home or in my social circles my entire life
I can swear (rarely, for a shock value), just don't like it. Too blunt of a tool to use from such a rich toolbox that is language
